| Bio: |  The events of Wade's youth are mainly unknown, except of course to himself. His mother had died while the boy was still young, leaving him with an abusive father and no outlet in which to vent his fears of frustrations. Such a situation lead him to years of the life of a delinquent, which had seemed to come to a screeching halt when one of the young man's 'friends' stole his father's handgun and murdered the older man in his sleep. With nothing and no one to bind him to his hometown any longer, Wade joined the military. It was a brief stint which ultimately lead him to his life as a mercenary, in which he'd only take the job if he believed the person truly deserved to die. He used plastic surgery to alter his appearance whenever he failed a mission, moving from one assignment to another, sometmes with a new face and identity if the situation called for it. It wasn't until his assignment in Japan by Crimelord to infiltrate a sumo ring and kill the leader of a rival gang, that Wade's life had started to change. The result in Wade working under the target for a few years was finding love with the leader's daughter and earning respect for the man he was supposed to kill. In the end he refused to complete the assignment and headed straight to the United States to settle himself once more. Once again he ended up finding a new love in a young prostitute, but any hopes for a brighter future with her were dashed when Wade had learned that he'd contracted cancer. He ended the relationship, not wanting the woman to feel forced to stay with him due to his illness. He headed back to Canada when he was offered the chance of a cure in the special weapons development branch, Department K. He was immediately put to use as a test subject in the conjoined branch of the US/Canadian government's Weapon X program. It was in this program in which he'd recieved his healing ability and it was that newfound power that had halted the growth of the cancer in his body temporarily. He served as a covert agent in the field until he killed his partner Slayback, which resulted in his rejection from Weapon X. He was sent to Hospice, a facility in which failed operatives were treated, but in actuality it was a experimenting ground for Dr. Killebrew and his overly sadistic assistant. During his stay at hospice, Wade was subject to many painful and often torturous experiments, forming an almost romntic relationship with Death herself. Wilson had managed to pull through his trials emotionally despite the many physical scars left on his body and all seemed well despite the almost horrific circumtances in which the patients of Hospice lived. Wade's breaking point hadn't come until one of his best friends at Hospice was lobotomized and with Death's prompting, Wade felt as if the only way to end the man's suffering was to kill him. Of course this was against Hospice's rules and Wade was promptly executed by Doctor Killibrew's assistant, Ajax, by having his heart torn out and left for dead. His thirst for vengeance sparked his healing factor and despite Death's pleading to stay with her, Wade allowed his body to regenerate his heart, returning from the dead to kill Ajax and escape the hospital with his fellow patients. (Taking on the name Deadpool after the cruel bets between Doctor Killebrew and Ajax on how long their patients would last in hospice.) Any previous hopes to better himself due to his spotted past are gone, Deadpool is first and foremost a mercenary without any true allegiance to good or evil. Physical Description: 6'2 and 210 pounds, it's hard to believe that Wade is actually agile at all. His skin is scarred from numberous battles and due to the treatment from his former battle with cancer he no longer has any hair left...which really isn't much of an issue since he hardly takes off his mask or costume for the most part. Often he will put other items of clothing on his in a more casual situation, making sure to cover any exposed skin should he need to completely change though he'll sit around his apartment in his mask and boxers. He also can use a holographic image inducer on his belt to alter his appearance if needed. Strengths: Skilled in hand to hand combat, Wade is also skilled in unarmed combat techniques. An expert marksman and assasin, his enhanced agility, heightened stamina, and healing factor make him a worthy opponent to anyone who would care to stand in his way. Weaknesses: Wade's biggest weakness would have to lay in his mental state, which causes him to take serious sitatuations a little too lightly. He is often overconfident and underestimates his opponents, relying too much on his healing ability and common strengths. (Im not Deadpool or Arnold Vosloo, this is for a game.) | |||||||||
